He’s famous about his mystery and horror novels. People found them very interesting and creatives. The most famous one is the Phantom of the Opera which was wrote in 1907. He had also written some others such as “the mystery of the yellow room”, ”the haunted chair” etc… He wrote 50 novels all over his life. He used to base on his real experiences. For example, the Phantom of the Opera was wrote because Gaston used to go to the Opera very frequently to see performances and was influenced by Charles Gounod’s opera “Faust”, about a man who sells his soul to the devil.
